Job Summary:

Performs maintenance and machine support tasks to keep equipment available and capable. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery, and specialty equipment, completing work with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Accredited 2-year associate degree in mechanical engineering, Machine Technology/Repair, Mechatronics, or a related field
• Strong interest in mechanical systems and manufacturing environments
• Willingness to commit to the full duration of the 8,000-hour apprenticeship
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift upon program completion

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and machine support tasks to keep equipment operational and minimize downtime.
• Actively report hazards, comply with HSE standards, and use appropriate personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
• Apply high standards of workmanship, support equipment uptime, and perform quality inspections to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Provide feedback and follow preventive maintenance protocols to reduce equipment failures and improve reliability.
• Keep your work area clean and orderly, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
• Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints, solve problems, and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in formal training and personal development as part of the apprenticeship program to enhance your skills and align with business requirements.
