Job Description We are seeking a
Property Accountant for Residential that will be responsible for reconciling the account balances and bank statements, maintaining a general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures at our corporate office in Woodland Hills, CA.
Essential duties and responsibilities - Verify and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable - per property
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status - per property
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with our established schedule
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Review all inter-company transactions
- Assist with property audits
- Support month-end and year-end close process
Qualifications - Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Highly proficient with accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education - 4-year degree (Bachelors) in Accounting, Business Admin, or related field
- 1+ year in an accounting role - Required
- 1+ years of experience in property management (RESIDENTIAL) accounting - Preferred
- Yardi Software experience - Preferred
Additional Information $60,000 - $62,000 per year Monday - Friday 9 am - 6 pm The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
